These terms govern your use of VerseComics. We have written them in plain language. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.
Who We Are
VerseComics is operated by Verse Comics LLC, a registered company in Nigeria. Questions? Email support@versecomics.com.
Who Can Use VerseComics
VerseComics is for readers of all ages. Our content is moral, family-friendly, and education-forward.
- Under 13 — A parent or guardian must register on your behalf, manage your account, and approve purchases. The parent or guardian agrees to these terms on your behalf.
- 13 and above — You may register and manage your own account.
- 17 and above — You may access mature-rated content after age verification.
By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you meet the age requirements above.
Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Do not share your password. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately at support@versecomics.com.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Content on VerseComics
All comic series, episodes, artwork, characters, and stories on VerseComics are owned by Verse Comics LLC or their respective creators and are protected by copyright.
You may:
- Read purchased content on your personal devices
- Share links to series and episode pages
You may not:
- Download, copy, screenshot, screen-record, or redistribute comic pages
- Use any automated tool to access or extract content from the platform
- Reproduce or sell any VerseComics content in any form
Violation of these terms will result in immediate account termination and may result in legal action.
Purchases
What you are buying
When you purchase an episode or season, you are purchasing a licence to read that content on VerseComics. You do not own the content itself.
Pricing
Prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and US Dollars (USD). All prices include applicable taxes where required.
Payment
Payments are processed securely by Paystack. We accept Mastercard, Visa, and Verve cards from customers anywhere in the world. We never store your card details.
Refunds
We offer refunds within 7 days of purchase, provided the episode or season has not been read. To request a refund, email support@versecomics.com with your purchase details.
We reserve the right to decline refund requests where we reasonably believe the refund policy is being misused.
VC Buddy (AI Recommendations)
VC Buddy is our AI-powered recommendation feature. It uses your reading preferences and history to suggest comics you might enjoy.
- VC Buddy recommendations are based on your genre and theme preferences
- You can disable VC Buddy from your account settings at any time
- VC Buddy does not have access to your payment information or personal contact details
User Content (Comments and Reviews)
When you post a comment or review on VerseComics, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display that content on the platform.
You are responsible for what you post. You agree not to post content that is:
- Offensive, hateful, or abusive
- Spam or promotional material
- False or misleading
We moderate comments and reviews. Content that violates these guidelines will be removed. Repeated violations will result in account suspension.
Push Notifications and Emails
By creating an account, you agree to receive transactional emails (account confirmation, purchase receipts, password resets). These cannot be opted out of as they are essential to the service.
You may opt in to promotional emails and push notifications and can opt out at any time from your account settings.
Availability
We aim to keep VerseComics available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may take the platform offline for maintenance and will give reasonable notice where possible.
Limitation of Liability
VerseComics is provided "as is." Verse Comics LLC is not liable for:
- Temporary unavailability of the platform
- Loss of reading progress due to technical issues (though we make every effort to preserve it)
- Any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform
Our total liability to you in any circumstance will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of VerseComics after that date means you accept the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes will be resolved under Nigerian law in the courts of Lagos State.
